- Evan graduated from San Diego State University with a Master's Degree in Education.
- Coached college tennis at multiple NAIA schools; recruited several nationally ranked players and All-Americans at Point Loma Nazarene University.
- Played 4 years of college tennis at Malone University (Canton, OH); captain during junior and senior years.
